A delicious recipe for Italian Rice Balls (Arancini) which is simple, and can be made ahead for parties (just make them smaller for appetizers).
ITEMS YOU NEED:
Oven safe Pot and Handle (For the risotto)
INGREDIENTS:
Beef Filling:
1/2 lb of Ground Beef 85/15
1/2 can of Peas
1/2 Jar of Store bought sauce (I used Francesca's)
1/2 Medium Onion (Diced)
4 Cloves of Garlic (Diced)
1/2 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder
1/2 Teaspoon of Onion Powder
1/4 Teaspoon of Dried Oregano
Salt and Pepper to taste
Rice Balls
2.5 Cups of Hot Water
1/2 Cup of Dry White Wine
1 and 1/4 Cup of Arborio Rice (Risotto)
1 Cup of Grated Parmesan Cheese
1/2 Teaspoon of Black Pepper
2 Eggs (incorporated after mixture has slightly cooled - see video)
Rice Ball Coating
2 Eggs
1/2 Cup of Flour
3/4 Cups of Italian Bread Crumbs
